We have convection or fan forced ovens Australia. So I've always made my garlic bread in the oven. That is until I discovered how quick and easy it is to make it in the air fryer.
Honestly pop the air fryer on to heat up, and by the time its warm you can whip up the bread to put in. And before you can say 'gosh what I really feel like right now is some crunch crispy fresh garlic bread' its practically ready.
I like my garlic bread as a side to one of my delicious pastas such as mushroom aglio olio or slow cooker lamb ragu. It also makes a great savory snack, either a cozy night in or pump out a plate for game day snacks. Delicious!

What should I have with garlic bread?
Garlic bread is traditionally eaten as a side dish to pasta but its also great with soups and stews, or to round out salads and smaller dishes into more of a meal. You can also have garlic bread on its own as a snack, you don't have to have it with anything!
How do you cook frozen garlic bread?
You can cook frozen garlic bread quickly and easily in the air fryer or oven. For the air fryer pre-heat your air fryer for five minutes to 340°F (170°C). Put the garlic bread into the basket in a single layer and cook for five minutes. Check and if you want it a bit crisper cook it for another couple of minutes, depending on how big and thick your garlic bread is to start with.
Alternatively you can cook frozen garlic bread in the oven by pre-heating your oven to 430°F (220°C/200°C fan forced). Put the garlic bread on a tray and cook for eight to ten minutes, our until golden and crispy.
Either way you do not need to defrost your garlic bread first, cook from frozen.
Ingredients

Crusty bread: I use ciabatta rolls in this recipe, but you could use what ever kind of bread or rolls you like.
Butter or margarine: I used salted butter. For a vegan option you could use margarine instead.
Garlic: an essential ingredient in garlic bread. I use approx. one clove of garlic per roll. I prefer the taste of freshly crushed garlic but if you are short on time you could use crushed garlic from a jar instead.
Parsley: is optional but I find it really elevates the flavor of this garlic bread. I like to use fresh flat leaf parsley which I have growing in abundance in my garden. I don't recommend using curly parsley (the type you usually see as garnish) as they have spiky bits that are less pleasant to eat. You could use dried parsley instead if you like or leave it out all together.
Salt and pepper: a little freshly ground salt and pepper elevates the flavor.
How to make air fryer garlic bread
Turn your air fryer onto 340°F (170°C) to preheat for five minutes. While the air fryer is pre-heating prepare the rolls.
Put the butter in a microwave proof bowl and soften in the microwave for a few seconds. Finely chop the parsley. Peel and crush the garlic and add it to the butter with the parsley. Add a little salt and pepper and mix well.
Slice the rolls in half and spread thickly with garlic butter. Put into the air fryer basket and cook for five minutes or until starting to brown and crisp up nicely.
How to serve

To serve pop onto a plate and enjoy! Fabulous as a snack on its own or a side to one of my pasta dishes such as mushroom aglio olio or slow cooker lamb ragu. Delicious!
How to store
This air fryer garlic bread is best eaten warm straight away. You can store it in a covered container for up to two days, but it may start to dry out a bit.
